Join us for our Annual hike to the summit of Ascutney Mountain, with a catch: Three times in one day!
Meet in West Windsor at 7am, at the home of Raina White 1383 Rt. 44, Brownsville, VT 05037. From there we'll coordinate car shuttles to other trail heads for anyone interested in ascending just once or twice. This will also be a good place for you to stash additional water and snacks if doing the double or triple.
Routes to the Summit
The trails we will use are listed in order:
Ascend- Weathersfield 2.9 miles 2060 ft. Up
Descend- Futures 4.6 miles 2644 ft. Down
Ascend- Access Rd. 3.7 miles 2300 ft. Up
Ascend- Slot Trail 0.7 miles 344 ft. Up
Descend- Brownsville 3.2 miles 2340 ft. Down
Traverse- Rt. 44 - 1 mile horizontal travel
Ascend- Windsor 2.7 miles 2520 ft. Up
Descend- Bicentennial ?2.3 miles ?2000 ft. Down
Total distance: 21.1 miles with > 7000 ft. of climbing, which comfortably took 8 hours in 2015.
After The Race
We will be grilling burgers after we finish so please bring a salad to share. Drinks: BYOB or supply your own protein drink, etc.
